I am trying extremely hard to convince Dr. Phil McGraw to feature borderline personality disorder on his talk show. The more people who join, the better the chances of the group getting noticed, so please join and invite all your friends!

Borderline personality disorder is a severe mental illness affecting 2% of the general population worldwide. It is also in desperate need of public awareness. If Dr. Phil were to make a show about it, it would certainly help bring more general knowledge about this devastating disorder.

I'm N.L., 18, from Canada, in grade 12 at a French high school. Graduation soon! Yay! Anyway, I'm primarily a writer (published poet (in English), and currently working on my second novel (which I love)), but I also love to draw as a treasured pastime. Drawing is sort of my therapy - I do a lot of it particularly when I'm stressed out. Also, I started drawing a lot more once I got really into my novel. I draw its characters (who I love), to get a good mental image of them.

I'm not a particularly serious artist, as in I'm not planning on doing this as a career, but I do take my art and love of drawing seriously. I expanded on it by taking four semesters of visual arts in high school (every course available) with the best teacher ever, Mr. Marc. I'm also told I have a lot of artistic talent, and that I should put my stuff all in one place (hence why I'm here). I will, but only my more recent stuff.

So yeah. Basically, my style is realistic mixed with a little bit of manga (I drew exclusively manga in my four years of middle school), and dark (to complement the general mood of my novel). I accept critiques. Encourage them, even. Just don't expect my stuff to be all glossy and photomanipulated and all that. I draw for fun, not for perfection. Before posting them, I run them through PhotoPlus and adjust the tone, brightness and contrast. That's really it. Anyway, hope you like my work!
